British Science Week 2026

British Science Week 2026 runs from 6th to 15th March, offering schools a fantastic opportunity to celebrate science in action and bring learning to life. Science shows are a proven way to inspire and enthuse pupils, leaving them with memorable STEM experiences that connect directly to classroom topics.
This year, Dr Ken is touring his Spectacular Circus Science Forces Show, designed to align with the theme “Curiosity: what’s your question?”. The show uses the excitement of circus skills to explore the science of forces, motion, and energy—sparking curiosity and encouraging pupils to ask their own questions about how the world works.
As highlighted by the British Science Week organisers, curiosity is the spark behind every scientific discovery. Dr Ken’s show provides the perfect platform for teachers to nurture inquisitive thinking, linking hands-on demonstrations to curriculum learning while showing how curiosity drives understanding in science, technology, engineering, and maths.
Booking a live science show during Science Week is a powerful way to engage pupils, enrich your school’s STEM provision, and create the kind of experiences that inspire future scientists and problem-solvers.

Funding for Science Week
Dr Ken encourages school and community groups to apply for grants from the British Science Association which can be used to fund science activities during science week. For more details visit British Science Week grants.
During British Science Week Dr Ken normally travels around the country visiting primary and secondary schools with his science shows and workshops. He uses his experience as a performer and school teacher to make science both fun and inspiring whilst making sure activities are relevant to the science curriculum and other cross-curricular subjects.
Start planning your Dr Ken visit early to guarantee your preferred date. British Science Week 2026 will be a busy time in the calendar and many schools have extended the STEM celebration to include other days or weeks within March and throughout the year.
